Team Funetix

Web Development

Patricia Waterman

Team Lead-Web Developer

I have enjoyed decades of creating digital arts for advertising and entertainment, as well as teaching college-level 3d graphics, animation, and video game technology. More recently I have also been developing websites for a variety of worthy clients within my own company,

It’s been a great opportunity to be a part of the Funetix team - helping to launch a product that will surely boost kids into the world of literacy with much more ease than was previously possible!

June Choe

Software Engineer

I am a software engineer based in sunny San Diego, CA.
I’ve worked on a variety of web applications using technologies like ReactJS, Typescript, and NodeJS, and I love to learn new skills. Before diving into software development, I worked in the education and business consulting sectors, which I found to be fulfilling. However, my passion for technology and problem-solving drew me to software engineering, and I've been hooked ever since. I really enjoy the creative and intellectual challenges that come with building great software. I’m deeply passionate about promoting educational equity and leveraging technology for social good. When I’m not coding, you can find me building legos, discovering new books in the local library, or biking around the gorgeous outdoors of San Diego.

Tate Braeckel

HTML/CSS/Java Script/ React/ Ruby on Rails Software Engineer

I am a lifelong visual artist, an educator, a carpenter, traveller, new FullStack software engineer, sometimes axe thrower, guitar player/ guitar painter, and small business owner. I am transitioning out of teaching after almost 14 years teaching mostly art to elementary students. I want a new challenge and the flexibility of hybrid or remote work. I am volunteering with the American Youth Literacy Foundation because I am inspired by the goals the organization has in mind and also to learn more as a budding engineer as I move into my new career.
I look forward to being a part of the FUNetix team and to helping wherever I can.
